Facilan™ Ortho Filament

Facilan™ Ortho is a high-performance 3D printing filament developed specifically for orthotic applications.

Facilan™ Ortho can also be used in soft supports, corrective supports, shoe soles and other similar applications. We have developed this material together with orthotic manufacturers, orthotic fitters and orthotic wearers to develop the perfect filament for 3D printable orthotics.

Facilan™ Ortho is a polyester that is partially crystalline and results in a pure white finish. Facilan™ Ortho has a density of approximately 1.2 kg/cm³ and has exceptional mechanical properties. Facilan™ Ortho melts at around 60°C, making it a safe thermoplastic for printing. With a glass transition temperature of -60 °C, the product is very flexible and durable. Facilan™ Ortho is a high-quality biodegradable plastic based on thermoplastic and meets compostability according to EN13432. Facilan™'s unique properties mean it has excellent adhesion to textiles. This means that the 3D printed parts can be easily combined or glued to textile inner parts, midsoles or other support or shoe parts. Due to the low melting point of Facilan™ Ortho, it can be reshaped after 3D printing in 55°C water.
